Project design and data curation: Francesco Beretta
This experimental website provides annotated documents and information related to intellectual history, conceived as the study of the social and cultural context in which ideas where formulated and circulated. At the moment, the focus is set on early modern Europe but this is not exclusive and the temporal and geographical scope could be larger if other scholars participate in the project.
As a part of the symogih.org project, this website publishes information and text annotations produced collaboratively by historians for the sake of their own research and according to different approaches. We publish here selected data from the project database and XML research platform, and resources available on the web, illustrating some aspects of early modern intellectual life.
Please don't mind if many parts of this website are still under development!
